Common mistakes
The things that most often cost clippers money — mostly avoidable.
Posting from a page you never linked
Your clip can be great and still earn nothing if it went out from a page that isn’t on your account. Link the page first, verify it, then post.
Joining a campaign that’s nearly spent
Check the budget remaining before you invest hours editing. A campaign with a sliver of budget left will pay a sliver, no matter how well the clip does.
Expecting the raw view count
You’re paid on adjusted views, and on a big clip the caps kick in. A clip with a million views on a small campaign is capped by the campaign’s budget, not by what the view count implies.
Ignoring the brief’s audio requirement
Most music campaigns need the campaign’s own audio, not a trending sound. Using the wrong audio is the single most common reason a well-made clip gets rejected.
Hiding your like count
If your page hides likes, some of the signals used to confirm your views are real aren’t visible. It won’t get you rejected, but it gives detection less to work with.
